As successor of the well-known DS-51-DIA 3-ph the DS-51-DIA HDT benefits from its predecessor's excellent aerodynamic design and also offers the perfect synthesis of high static and enormously high dynamic thrust. 

Cooling airflow has been optimized (as for all new HDT ducted fans) by an enlarged opening of the streamlined fairing. The optionally available Secure Fan Fix-System enables exact installation within the fuselage. Since early 2009 all HDT-fan units are produced with ultra high modulus-CRP reinforced shrouds. These fans give the ultimate performance.  They are hand made in Germany and go through vigorous testing and inspection before shipping.
